You’re not just trading for this season — you’re trading for the next 3-5 years. A player’s age and long-term outlook often matter more than this week’s stat line.

Biggest Mistakes in Dynasty Trades

• Overvaluing a hot short-term performer over a younger, steadier long-term asset.
• Trading away too many future picks for a “win-now” push before your team is ready.
• Ignoring your league’s Superflex or TE-premium settings, which change values a lot.

Aging Players vs Youth

A 22-year-old rising WR is usually worth more long-term than a 30-year-old veteran, even if the veteran scores more points today. Dynasty rewards patience.

Rookie Pick Value

Approaching Future Picks

Picks further in the future (like a 2028 1st) are worth less than picks next year, because more time means more uncertainty. Always discount a far-future pick compared to a near-term one.
