This page explains exactly what our Trade Analyzer estimates, and just as importantly, what it doesn’t.

What the Tool Estimates

Every player and draft pick has a base value built from recent performance, opportunity (like target share or touches), age, and overall fantasy relevance. These are curated estimates, not a live market feed.

How Scoring Settings Change Values

In PPR leagues, pass-catchers (WRs, RBs who catch passes, TEs) get a boost because receptions count as points. In Non-PPR leagues, that boost disappears, so those same players are worth less relative to non-receiving backs.

How Player Scarcity Affects Value

Positions with fewer reliable weekly starters (like elite tight ends) often hold value better than positions with more depth (like wide receiver), because replacing a scarce position is harder.

Dynasty vs Redraft

In Dynasty leagues, you keep your roster year after year, so age and future draft picks matter a lot. In Redraft leagues, you start fresh every year, so only this season’s performance really counts, and future picks are worth far less.

What This Tool Does NOT Do

• It does not predict injuries or breakout seasons.
• It does not know your league’s exact roster settings unless you select them.
• It is not a guarantee — always weigh your own team’s needs alongside the numbers.
